Getting here
It’s easy to get to Portalen and Värtahamnen. Today you can easily get there via subway, bicycle, bus, car or boat. There are even plans both to extend the trolley line Spårväg City and a future eastern connection.

By subway

Take the Red Line towards Ropsten. Get off at the Gärdet Station and walk 5 minutes to Portalen.

For rainy days or when you don’t feel like walking, you can take the free shuttle bus between Gärdet’s subway station and Värtahamnen.
The bus runs entirely on electricity and will run in shuttle traffic between its two stops. This means a frequency of around 8 minutes. No card or ID needs to be shown to ride the bus.

By bicycle

It takes 8 minutes to bicycle from Stureplan in the city centre to Värtahamnen. Park easy at Portalen’s bicycle park.

By bus

There are two bus lines that departs frequently, line 1 and line 76, stopping at Värtahamnen every 5 minutes during rush hour.

By ferry

With the ferry line 80, you embark from Nybroviken via Nacka and Lidingö.

By car

Regardless of whether you come from the north or south part of Stockholm, it’s easy to drive by car thanks to the Norra Länken motorway.
You will find parking lots both in Portalen and in shared parking garage around Värtahamnen.
